I received a free kindle copy of The Cat's Maw by Brooke Burgess, published by BookBuzz.net from NetGalley in exchange for a fair review. 

 

I gave this enchanting children's story five stars. It was magical, mysterious & had several story line threads woven throughout the book. It is a haunting tale about Billy & his summer of bad luck. It's almost as if he's 'cursed'. 

 

He finally meets an unusual cat & they befriend each other. It's a haunting tale that kept my interest start to finish.
