There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly
I received an e-copy of There was an old lady who swallowed a fly by Rashin from NetGalley for fair review. I gave it an almost four star.
It's the nursery rhyme with the harsh ending. It's a child's book with the easily read repetitive refrain of the different insects & animals she ate. There was also a question as to why she ate them.
The spider to eat the fly, the bird to eat the spider, the cat to eat the bird, etc. Of course after the dog, cow & horse, her stomach exploded & she died. Then all the animals ran free in celebration.
The illustrations were bright & entertaining.
