It's a charming tale & the rhyming is great. The only reason I knocked off 1/2 a star was the use of the words faux pas. This book is designed for readers 3 to 8 & that phrase didn't seem to fit with the rest of the book.
I learned something from it too. I didn't know that dragonflies eat bees.
This is a delightful story about Honey Bee who outflies the drones to go on her adventure. She meets King Frog & is quite abrupt with him.
He does warn her about Sly, the Dragonfly.
She avoided a lizard named Slick.
She got stuck in a spider's web & almost eaten by a ravenous spider until King Frog was her hero & helped her escape.
She helped her drones overcome five wasps.
Because of that & her return she was crowned queen for her effort.
It's nice that after encountering some hungry predators, it has a happy ending. As a grandparent, I would love to read this aloud. I highly recommend this little treasure.
