Scary Stories for Kids - Short Horror Stories for Children: (Children's Books and Books for Kids)
I received a free kindle copy of Scary Stories for Kids - Halloween Stories and Spooky Ghost Stories for Kids: Horror Books for Kids, written by Kara Aitken, illustrated by Wildan Rayusman in exchange for fair review. I gave it four stars.
Written for Age Level: 8 - 14 | Grade Level: 3 - 9. Disclaimer: These stories include blood, zombies, and other scary elements which may not be suitable for some readers.
There are five stories in this book.
1. The Roller Coaster Curse would be a good one for telling around a campfire or at a spooky party. It leaves you wondering. Will the missing children ever return? Was it really cursed?
2. The Zoo Keeper made the hair stand up on the back of my neck. It was seriously scary. There are more missing children that will not return.
3. The Toy Maker is a kindly old man who makes puppets. Isaiah who is a bully & disrespectful comes into the store with his mother. He wants one of the puppets behind the register which is not for sale. He ridicules the toy maker for having something there not for sale. Later he comes to the store without his mother & no money. He steals two little cars. Will there be justice for this obnoxious bully?
4. The Cafeteria Lady is a sweet lady named Betty. The principal tells her there's no money to make the food better. Betty finds a unique solution. Will the new sandwiches be a hit with the kids?
5. The Wishing Well presents a question, is it ever okay to take the money out of a wishing well?
