Pearly Incognito by Salem is an intriguing, if somewhat convoluted story. The alternate universe described has limitless options for humans & monsters alike.

Pearly conscripts a diamond dealer to make a diamond toothbrush for his sharp teeth. He seeks a kirk (church) to relieve his conscience of murder. The priest absolves him after giving him his penance. Pearly uses the church to money launder.

I'd like to know more about Rook Black, the detective & Jack the Butterfly than was revealed in this story.

It has terrific possibilities. It was simply too short.
