I received a copy of The Second Deadly Sin by Asa Larsson from NetGalley for fair review. I gave this darkly convoluted murder suspense story five stars. It has greed, adultry, wrath, lust & envy. Lots of sins involved.

It's set in Sweden so there are some unfamiliar terms used but Google translate came in handy when I couldn't figure it out the word from the context.

There's a dual story line. One that took place 100 years before affecting an entire family line. The family tree is being decimated.

The characters, especially Krister Eriksson, the police dog handler & Rebecka Martinsson, a prosecutor being pushed aside from work, are well drawn. Their dogs also play an important in the story line.

This is the first time I've read Asa Larsson's work but I look forward to reading more.
