The Best Corpse for the Job

The Best Corpse for the Job - Charlie Cochrane I received a free kindle copy of The Best Corpse for the Job written by Charlie Cochrane, published by Riptide Publishing from NetGalley in exchange for a fair review.

I gave this book four stars. It kept my attention, left me guessing & was entertaining. For me, the only drawback was what I call the 'Britishisms'. Those are words that may be the standard vernacular in Britain but left me needing a glossary.

Lindenshaw St. Crispins needs a new head teacher. There are interviews being conducted by the governors when one of the applicants is found dead in the children's kitchen. From that point forward, it was a real mystery.

Inspector Robin Bright is not thrilled to return to where he had been bullied & tormented as a student. He makes Notes to self: Don't get involved with the attractive teacher Adam Matthews. Yet, he is drawn to the young man like the proverbial moth to a flame. Can they survive the investigation? Can there ever be a relationship between them?
