No Witness but the Moon by Suzanne Chazin

No Witness but the Moon - Suzanne Chazin

No Witness but the Moon by Suzanne Chazin is an intense thriller about a shooting between a Hispanic police officer and an undocumented immigrant. Jimmy Vega, the police detective, has only seconds to react to the man who refuses to surrender and reaches into his pocket. The connections in the case, are disturbing and shattered several lives.

The consequences are far reaching. Jimmy has much soul searching to do and suffers from shame and guilt from the choice he made. His girlfriend, Adele Figueroa, the head of a local immigrant center has her doubts about his behavior.

Can he find justice? Can he forgive himself?

I gave it almost five stars because it kept me reading into the wee hours of the morning.

I received a complimentary Kindle copy from Kensington Books and NetGally. That did not change my opinion for this review.
