The Vorkian [a dystopian novella]: The 2250 Saga by Nirina Stone is a futuristic story. It's about Mazz who lives in Citizen City in the Nation Apex. He is compelled to become a Death Doctor for the rest of his life.

I gave it five stars.

Mazz has problems with thinking too much about the past. "....I lose myself in virtual mixed martial arts games just to feel a different kind of pain because physical pain is better than the pain which stews in my gut, radiates to the tips of my fingers, and makes me want to die."

When Mazz starts questioning things about Vorkians or the way things are run on Apex, he remembers the best reason. "We just do as we're told and go where we need to go. It's better for Apex as a whole if we don't ask too many questions. If we don't ask questions at all."

I received a complimentary kindle copy from Amazon. That did not change my opinion for this review.
