Sherlock Holmes and the Shinto River-Dancer by Ben Stevens is an intriguing short story.

Sherlock Holmes is in Japan. He is summoned to investigate the death of a Shinto River-Dancer, Hitomi Aoki, who had been stabbed through her heart. Yoshida-sensei is assisting him. I gave it four stars.
