Because of a Dog: A Western Short Story by Donald L. Robertson

Because of a Dog: A Western Novella - Donald L. Robertson

Because of a Dog: A Western Short Story by Donald L. Robertson is a short story that has a great beginning. A young boy is throwing a stick for his dog, it bounces into the street and interferes with the path of three oncoming horses. One of them shot the dog.

This is a good, clean story. The author brought the characters to live and it was filled with action. I gave it five stars.

"'Last time I'm gonna ask you. Why'd you shoot the boy's dog?'

Sadler grumbled. 'He scared my horse. Anyway, I don't like dogs.'

Nolan shook his head. 'Don't meet too many people who don't like dogs. Mostly those kind of folks ain't worth knowing. Come on, let's get you to the doc.'"

I received a complimentary kindle copy from Amazon. That did not change my opinion for this review.
