Deadlight Jack by Mark Onspaugh is a frightening book about Louisiana. Jimmy Kalmaku and George Walters are friends that met in a nursing home and are off on an adventure to save George's grandson from Deadlight Jack. I gave it four stars.

When George lost his Grandfather: "George, who was five years old and hurting, believed the rain was angels crying for his beloved Pawpaw."

I received a complimentary kindle copy from Random House Publishing Group - Hydra and NetGalley. That did not change my opinion for this review.
