The Living Sand by Anthony Renfro

The Living Sand - Anthony Renfro

The Living Sand by Anthony Renfro is a frightening short story. I gave it four stars.

A grandfather sat in a rocker on his wooden porch telling his grandsons a story about two twelve year old boys, Seth & Junior who discovered a hidden beach with a cave that had a wall with a skull & crossbones symbol on it that looked like it was bleeding or freshly painted. It gave a serious warning & a sinister laugh.

They ran. Later Junior taunted Seth about being a 'frady cat' to get him to go back to the cave again. They then learned about the evil deadly secrets that lie within its soft white grains of sand.

It has two bonus short stories: Joyride about a Chevy Chevelle & A Haunted House Tale. Both were entertaining.

I received a complimentary copy from the author. That did not change my opinion for this review.
