Death of the Mountain by George Duncan

Death of the Mountain - George Duncan
Death of the Mountain by George Duncan is an interesting mystery book. I gave it four stars because it kept me guessing. It does need some editing. There are several typos & Jerico's dog is called Charlie at one time & called Bailey at another.
Tequestra Breeland was at a turning point in her life. " addition to her high-tech skills & her college minor in journalism, Tequestra's sunshine optimism could dissipate icy clouds of fiscal doom. She was confident, without a great deal of evidence to go on, that she could turn the Tribune around & beef up the razor thin profits."
She hired a former classmate, Jerico Larkin as an editor. "Jerico could be quite eloquent when he typed out a story, although such eloquence wasn't needed in regular reporting....He had a breezy personality & rarely became upset."
I found their interaction questionable in this day & age. As his boss, her behavior bordered on sexual harassment. Their flirtatious dialogue was stilted instead of funny.
I received a complimentary copy from Emboldo Entertainment & NetGalley. That did not change my opinion for this review.
