I received a free kindle copy of J.A.C.K. Just. Another. Common. Killer. by Chantal Bellehumeur in an Amazon promotion in exchange for a fair review.
I gave this diabolical horror book five stars. This book started with a brutal slaying by a six year old boy of his two sisters.
"Because Jack was too young to be put on trial for murder and assault, he was treated as a juvenile delinquent and placed under tight surveillance in a mental institution. Jack eventually started seeing a psychologist, Dr. George Philips.
Under hypnosis, Jack Huntington recited murderous tales that had occurred in the Whitechapel area of London, England close to one hundred years ago. The details about the locations of the bodies found, the victims’ names and appearances as well as the murders themselves were realistically told as though a grown man was speaking.
Since Dr. Philips was a long time Ripperologist, he recognised Jack the Ripper’s history within the boy’s stories."
In telling of his crimes he described: "Jack liked women whom did not fit the ideal of beauty because it made him feel more superior. He preferred woman that were either disgustingly bony or morbidly obese."
He enjoyed toying with the police by sending letters or body parts to them. The boy, Jack Huntington's "handwriting, when using his left hand, matched that of the three notes known with absolute certainty to be written by the original killer in 1888.
His signature, under hypnosis, was too much of a replica to be a coincidence."
